The Sporting News’ Eric McErlain ponders whether the departure of the Detroit Red Wings’ Juri Hudler to Russia’s Continental Hockey League could be a sign of things to come with players of his stature in the NHL. She explains, “We ought to expect that players like Hudler — a solid talent but not yet a superstar — coming off their first NHL contracts are going to give the KHL a serious second look.” What do you think?
